What does "Map Snapshot" do ?

I found this in menu of keyboard hotkeys.

 

When I tried to assign a hotkey for it to try it

So, What does this command do?

And when will it be available ?

I think it's to create a map from your gameplay, with units and stuff taken into account.

basically it's to copy the current match that is going with all of the units and buildings in the map, and then you get to open it in the map editor.

It's a debugging feature of Ares. It helps with things like testing whether the game or some new Ares feature somehow placed units in invalid locations like outside of the map bounds. There, such units could keep a player alive, and it would be impossible to kill them (affects short games in particular).
