Killing Rashidi in Obsidian Sands

On my second playthrough of this mission, I discovered that it is possible to kill Rashidi (for realsies). Destroy all the SC forces save Rashidi's Palace and one Naval Yard. Make a bunch of Duneriders (25-ish) and have them blob up around the secret cave. Have Libra nearby. Destroy Rashidi's Palace. When the Jackal Racer spawns, it will be trapped and unable to get through the Dunerider blob. Carefully move a few Duneriders out of the way so Libra can get close to the Jackal and activate her gravity field. Sit back and watch as the Jackal either gets flung into the cliffside or into the water and violently explodes.

Interesting, I remember trying to do the similar thing in 3.3.2,expect I was using Marauders and Magnetrons, and the Jackal just slipped through.

Can you mind control the Jackal? Then you could make it unload and see who was inside it.

Nope, it has ImmuneToPsionics = yes and special armor,so Libra's gravity field is the only thing that can affect it.

Change the Jackal to a Buzzard, problem solved.

The only thing that needs to be changed is Jackal's weight. If it's made high then nothing can flip it anymore no matter how much you try.

Shame the Centurion was not heavy enough to not be flipped, right? :shiftee:

I made a youtube playlist of songs that may have inspired mission names (at least 50% is correct and seen by Speeder himself)

Centurion and several other units had their weight modified for this mission, to make it easier for Libra to flip them. :p
