Basically, with 3 Hard AI in map with me, making it 4 in skirmish, when I reached 15mins in-game, the fps starts to slow down. I do believe it is part CPU, part RAM, part GPU.

But can someone give me a rough estimation on the percentage of each factor that affect the fps in-game? I'm convinced it's just the matter of how much objects are currently in the game. When the game just started, the speed is flawless and smooth.

Like, is it highly depends on CPU and not so much on RAM and GPU? Or?

I'm using a 20" monitor with native 1600x900 for resolution of the game and standard rendering btw.

The first core of your CPU would probably play the most role, but you can switch it with task manager (if you can alt tab or are on windowed mode) by setting gamemd.exe's affinity to any core but the 0th. But you'll need to do it all the time, and sometimes it only gives small boost.

Gamespeed also depends on how much object that moves in the game at a time.

The lag is most surely caused by your CPU when finding the path for large number of units, especially when they are stuck by each other.

Modern disk should be smooth with a game from the 2000s (which is not as badly written as Minecraft). And by that time hardly anyone possesses a potent GPU unit on a PC.

Game speed setting acts as nothing but a fps cap. The game will try to maintain this fps but might fail to do so and become slower.

In-game speed vs real life speed?

Ah I see, so it's just my CPU not strong enough (it is really old, barely maintained CPU tbh..)

What are the components of your CPU?
