My username and password for these forums are not working to log in on cnc-online.net. I tried changing my password and that did not work. What can I do about this?

which is an error page. It looks like my account was deleted when I last played a few years ago.

What happened is that your forum account was deleted from the forums because you didn't validated it while your server account remained valid (the old system allowed that to happen).  The account you are using now is a different account (with the same name as the old one).    

 

When you made the account you were using now, the server did not create a new account because your name and email address were already on there.   

 

Is this beginning to sound like fun to you?   

 

Now what I propose to do is to remove your old account from the server database so you can log in there (which will create a new server account) and when you tell me you have done that, I will transfer your nick names and stats onto the new account.

 

If you want to do that, let me know.

I'll do that.     While I am doing that, can you tell me what games you played that might have statistics?

 

Actually, can you log into the C&C:Online web site now and set up your server account.   You should be able to do that, now that i have removed the old account.

My new server nickname is w4ffle3z. I might have some stats in C&C ZH.

OK you should be good to go with w4ffle3z.    We did not store ZH stats or profiles (Shatabrick did not run in that game under gamespy).     You might have a local cache of the data (if you kept the computer you used to play on).     That can be found in the folder  \My Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data\GeneralsOnline .     I am not able to apply those in most cases at the moment (it's an awful load of work)  but I suggest you store the data (if you have it) in case that changes.

If I try to change my name from w4ffle3z to waffle3z, it says that already exists. Was it taken by somebody else, or is that still my ghost?

Ah, your server log in name.      Sorry, that is fixed now.  

 

i.e. I have removed that log in name from the old account so it should be available again.

Can you read the pinned topics (and the notice at the top of the forum) in the Member Management Forum and then follow those instructions (you make a new topic in there).
