Just a bit of an update from what I've been up to since last time I was here. Too long ago.

This is some of the stuff I've been working on at university, some concepts and others 3D models. The concepts below are for a concept art module (the eel-like Dragon) and a group project to make a game respectively (The Man in the Mouse Suit). The game ended up being terrible and unplayable, but I'm proud of my input.

I've also been working on 3D stuff too, but I'm most proud of this guy, a modified Warhammer 40,000 Imperial Knight. This guy was a bit of a challenge as a first step into doing a fully rigged and animated mechanical humanoid. I learned to hate IK limbs in this project:

Oh and there's this guy too, a Spartan Assault Tank I did for fun. Turned out to be incredibly frustrating, but I'm happy with the result.connor-hughes-screenshot015-2.jpg?152226connor-hughes-screenshot014-2.jpg?152226

Most impressive with the 'mech. And I like the colour style of The Man in the Mouse Suit.

Legend.  That's some top quality top quality.  Love the Eel-Dragon.  Only criticism I have is for the Man in the Mouse Suit.  Right hand + arm is a bit rough.  You should do more work with thin hair so you can practice body form and shapes under hair.  You usually make very naked, smooth creatures, but some of your work with mange effects would look amazing.  Looks like that fancy university is paying off, at any rate.  Now stop playing hide-and-seek and show us more when you have it.

Cheers guys :) and yeah, Pas, agreed about the right arm. I had a lot of trouble with trying to create a kind of 'fatness' with fur, while maintaining body shapes, and it's definitely something to work on in future.

... some of your work with mange effects would look amazing.

Hmmm. If you mean manga... hmm. And I'll keep you guys up to date :)

MANGA?  No, no, no.  Stop it.  Mange, as in moulted fur.  Like an old, malnourished dog.
