Hey,

So I'm new to CnC-online and have been desperately trying to get it running.

I can enter the lobby and any game just fine, except all the games in the lobby have the 'Poor connection' markers (or whatever the red ping markers mean). I am also able to join games but most, if not all fellow players in my games either fail to connect or have poor connection markers. I haven't been able to play a single game.

Things I've tried so far -
1. Manually forwarded UDP Port 16000 (as mentioned on the pinned post) BUT when I used the linked utility to check if the port is open, it always says that the port is NOT open.
2. Tried to open the port with a UPnP utility. Same result, the test utility says its not open.
3. Enabled DMZ on my router.
4. Added exceptions in windows firewall, even tried disabling it.

NATNegTest.bat produced the following -
Using server nntest.cnc-online.net:30000
Bound to local port 52177
Bound to local alternate port 52178
Resolving hostname 'nntest.cnc-online.net'...
Resolved server host to be '37.247.49.213'
Sending client INIT from port 52177 to nntest.cnc-online.net:30000
Received server INIT [453206]
Our public address is 139.5.239.66:13637
Sending client INIT2 [453206] from port 52178 to nntest.cnc-online.net:30000
Received server INIT2 [453206]
Our alternate public address is 139.5.239.66:13638
Sending cient START [453206] from port 52178 to nntest.cnc-online.net:30000
Received server START [453206]
Server extra port is 40000
Sending client PING [453206] from port 52177 to nntest.cnc-online.net:40000
Received server PING(2) [453206]
Received server PING(3) [453206]
Received server PING(4) [453206]

===========
  SUCCESS
===========
Received 3 pings from nntest.cnc-online.net:40000.
NAT negotiation works with your router and connection.
==> You do not have to use port forwarding.
Press any key to continue . . .

My PC details -
Router - iBall Baton iB-WRB300N
OS - Windows 10 Pro 64-bit Version 1709
Game - CnC3 KW Version 1.02 (As seen in settings)

I also figured that the problem might be my location. I'm from SE Asia (most of the players must be from America or Europe) but I don't have any trouble playing on American or European servers for most other games. I get a ping of 120-200 in games like DotA, Overwatch etc.

My internet connection is broadband but it connects via PPPoE (Dial-up). Its a 4Mbps connection and has barely ever given me any trouble when it came to gaming.

I can provide more specific details if asked for.

Thanks in advance. I love what you guys have set up here, reviving one of my all time favorite game's online community. May CnC live on forever! :)

Here's a screenshot, which I doubt is adding much but well...

This thread has been out for five days now and there have been no replies. My apologies of the format of the original post wasn't up to the forum standards.

I've searched far and wide for threads detailing the same problem on the forums but I couldn't find any exactly the same as mine.

If anyone knows any such past thread that had a solution to player connection problem, please link it here.

Also if there's any problem with my question, please suggest an edit.

Thank you guys :)

Apologies.   It is simply that we are short of resources to help people with issues like that.   Personally, I do not have any suggestions to make.    DMZ  is probably the best answer but it looks like you have a quality of service issue, rather than a failure to connect at all.     Reducing noise in your connection should help (using cable rather than wifi and reducing electrical interference may help).    Other tips or suggestions would be welcome.

I'm gonna keep trying out stuff and hope for the best. I'll post if I find anything.
