So. I'm not sure if this has been answered, I flicked through to find out, but haven't found a solution. I made my first map two days ago of Moria and Lothlorien and liked it, but decided to remake it today this time using some of the Moria props, those of which being the Great Hall flooring, walls, pillars etc. Unfortunately, I cannot actually seem to build on most of these, but on one or two spots I can. The land undearneath the spots are flat and underneath so I am rather confused as to why one or two of the "Floor" square things can have buildings on them but others won't allow it. Any help would be much appreciated.

*Edit*
As an update: I tried removing a pillar, floor and the corner of a section, I was able to build there, I am pretty sure it's the wall, but where I built "Dwarrowdelf" I still cannot seem to build in that area in general. Is there a way I can make it so I can still build there or something? Really hoping to get this going, I do intend to get into map making as I've killed the last 3 days just tweaking and playing the first draft of this map.

*Edit 2*
Another update: I replaced a hall with another wall set "Nofade" or something, not sure on the difference between them, I'm new to mapping so that's to be expected. I am now able to build in that area fine, I did the same in "Dwarrowdelf" however still got nothing, I removed walls altogether, still hardly anything, I removed all of the hall and was able to place buildings in a few locations, (I do use Shift I and know that there is no "Impassible" terrain that I placed by accident). Not quite sure if I have slipped up some point, the area is all the same flat level and still having some trouble. If anyone can help, again it would be much appreciated :)

So you wanna use the Moria floor tiles, but they count as structures, and you can't build on structures.  That's the issue, right?  Easy.  Just select all of the Moria props, go to the "Logical" tab, and unselect "Enabled".  Sometimes you gotta just uncheck all of that stuff for some reason.  If you don't want units passing through certain objects, then you can use the terrain impassibility painter to block off areas.  And if you want units to seamlessly walk on Moria floors, without the floors clipping through the terrain, use the invisible terrain painter tool to make the land invisible.  It will still be there, but it'll make it look like the units are walking on your props.

First off, thank you for the reply, awesome to see I have been spotted, I gave this a go, still have that issue for whatever odd reason after unchecking all Moria props, but one thing I have noticed is where I have a spawn on one of the Moria floor tiles, that one and 3 others around it seem to allow me to build upon them. Also Thank you for pointing out how to fix the walking on Moria's floors, that's helped a lot as it bothered me a little at times to see that some of the builder's had a small part of their wheels stuck in the floor. Again, thank you for the reply, going to be looking into it some more to see if I can work something out with it.

For the building problem you could probably do the same thing, just raise the terrain a little bit above the moria floor, then make it invisible. You can do this by lowering the moria floor object's Z axis coordinate.
