Red Alert 3

Best Answer Guest_protoman1008_* , 29 June 2018 - 03:52 PM

The issue appears to be solved after trying a VPN Server out.

Port Forwarding and disabling all firewalls didn't solved the issue for some odd reason.

So that you guys know. If port forwarding didn't fix it for you, try a VPN Server instead. ^-^

Sounds like Connection Error 1-2 Connection in Progress/Failed.

You can find more information about it here of what you can try in the hope it'll solve the issue for you.

In here, they'll explain step by step how to forward the ports.

If the default login doesn't work, it may be possible that someone else changed the password because they may don't want you to make certain changes to the router.

Regarding Windows Defender I believe you should be able to find this by searching for Windows Firewall.

See the screenshot.

Should be it though I have noticed there’s no Local IP set? Might be possible that the router may not know where to forward the request to. Also, I noticed there’s a firewall setting as well.
If there’s still no change, try turning the firewall off to see if that solves the issue.

I do suggest to keep the ports forwarded however to prevent further issues in the future.

You can find your local ip number(computer’s local number given by your router for internet access) through CMD as example.
Type in “ipconfig” there should be an ipv4 address. That should be the local ip. The gateway is your router.
Might be wise to set an destination so the router knows to which device it allows forwarding to.
UPnP should also help a lot with this if the game supports this feature.

I suggest to give it another try to see if you’re still getting Connection Error 1-2.
There may be a 5 seconds delay though.
Fingers crossed.

Yoo dude, I downloaded and installed the C&C online and I bought Red-alert 3 for old times sake. Me and my bro have already made out accounts but when we try to run them they seem to crash half-way. I don't think it is a performance issue since My brother uses a very good laptop and its recently bought.

Can you please make a new thread, Kazuya?

Your problem doesn't seem to be the same as OP.

If you can, please try to provide as much information as you can including system specs to see what the problem may be.

(preferably only CPU, RAM and GPU specs)

I’d suggest keeping send delay ticked off.

In options have you also set the local ip address there?

Trust me, it can be a huge struggle figuring out where connection error 1-2 might come from.
Been helping Genereis with that before last year december and literally took us a lot of hours to figure the issue out.
https://forums.revor...2/#entry1073486

Due to all the struggles I might make a troubleshooter or so regarding Connection Error 1-2 one of the coming days.
That includes trying to get as much information about this issue to get a better understanding how to solve it.

I could do that yeah, but I do prefer Direct communication if that's an option for you.

In our Discord Server you can find me there as protoman1008#4583.

That's basically how I helped Genereis as well last year. c:
