It appears your router and/or connection is not capable of NAT negotiation.
==> You will need to use port forwarding and possibly configure a static port.
Press any key to continue . . .

As for additional info, i'm running pfsense firewall; and i could swear i setup unpnp and automatic natting correctly.

I did add all the TCP/UDP ports from https://portforward....-3-kanes-wrath/, including forwarding UDP 16000 and configuring it in game.

I am able to sign in, connect to lobby, join game, but unable to start the game and i sit there with either red signal, or nothing.

I attach some of the NAT settings i've enabled (and still had same result)

From what i can see (and from the same testing my friend has done) it definitely appears to be an issue my end, specifically with pfsense. Normally i'm fairly hot on configuring this thing properly and i generally don't have any issues.

If anyone is able to provide any advice or guidance, or documentation i'll go and try and figure it out.

Thanks in advance!

Does anyone have any advice?

Failure means you may have to do port forwarding.

Thing is, the ports Kane's Wrath uses is a giant mess... It would be best to enable DMZ in your router to see if that makes a difference.

oh, right ok. Thanks for clarifying. Might explain why i got intermittent results if kanes wrath just wants to do what it wants :)

Enabling a DMZ would make me cry. But. I reckon i could do a whitelist IP on all ports.

Would the connectivity be needed from myself to my friend? Would i need to whitelist the CNCONline servers too?

Basically what DMZ does is forwarding every single port to one single local IP address in the network.

And yes... It sadly does come with certain risks.

The thing is, the ports are so messy and looks as follows:

Command and Conquer 3 Kanes Wrath - PC
TCP:
UDP: 8088-65535

As you can see, the port range is ridiculous and makes no sense to me why specifically Kane's Wrath would use this many ports...

I'm not sure if using a VPN Server might be the other alternative for connectivity problems.

surfeasy.com is confirmed to be working for a few that had connectivity issues.

If you're too worried about the monthly accessible bandwidth, perhaps give Windscribe a try.

Results however may differ. I do suggest trying a VPN Server out with DMZ disabled to see if it'll make a difference.

Thanks for the info. Yep; i fully understand the DMZ and its not something i'd ideally do, and i agree the port situation is a joke.

I can setup rules to at least help protect myself abit. Would setting up whitelist IP's against my friend and the CNC online servers be fine? or do i not need to whitelist them .

VPN isnt really an option. I'm here because we used to use hamachi but it just became a pain in the arse were some friends could see others and others couldnt or could see them. So i was hoping to use this service to solve that. Its mostly me thats the problem with your service at the moment due to me using PFsense and not a proper router, per say.

Does your router has its own Firewall/SPI-Firewall by any chance?

Sometimes that can be the source of issue regarding connectivity problems.

You could try whitelisting, not sure if that'll do something.
