Mismatch and Synchronization Error. Whether I am using Gentool or Hamachi.

I am using Origin's Command and Conquer Generals: Zero Hour

Running on Windows 7.

A couple of buddies and I are playing Zero Hour that we all have downloaded off of Origin.

We used Hamachi and Gentool and it was fine. We finished most games without a hitch. But we've

been noticing the error starting to show up late into the game in the past week. Does anyone have some idea why it might be doing that?

Hamachi does not work the same way that gamespy did so that is not something we can help with too much in here.   One of you probably has a bad install of the games or a corrupt map.

I'm actually having the same issue. We play fine for 20-25 mins and then mismatch from each other.

This is standard online play, not using hamachi.

What map are you playing on, and with what rules? If a game goes on for 25 minutes, and for most of that time you were all building large bases and tons of units, it is most likely that the mismatch is caused by your gameplay, and not your game.

Many simple things can cause a mismatch while you are playing in a long game, from bunkers unloading when a player quits, to somebody moving their gigantic army across the map.

You shouldn't use the C&C:Online launcher to launch Generals or Zero Hour.   If you are playing only those games, you should unhook and uninstall the C&C:Online launcher and install GenToolWhen you have done that, you just launch the game from its ordinary shortcut.     If you are using the Ultimate Collection, you should install this first; C&C Ultimate Collection Launchers.

Has happened on every game I've played for the last few days with a friend. My connection is a little temperamental so maybe it's that.

It shouldn't happen every game, unless the games are being played on a bugged map, or with massive armies.

Your connection isn't what causes mismatches, that would cause you to disconnect, at which time you would see the disconnect window pop up(there is nothing wrong with your game if that is the case).

For the time being, I was advise finishing your games withing 20 minutes, which happens to be a decent length for most games, and as for fixing the issue with mismatching, try playing on a different PC with the same files and settings, if that fixes the problem, you've figured out 1 of 2 things; 1. that your main PC is the problem, or 2. it is somebody you're playing with that is causing the mismatch.
