There are threads for quite a lot of stuff here concerning MO-but the one thing that has given MO quite a distinctive vibe....seems to be missing from discussion.

Yes,I'm talking about soundtracks.The very soundtracks which we hum softly while playing a campaign mission or a skirmish or a MP match,which have now become synonymous with the four factions.

We'll discuss both soundtracks being used now as well as iconic RA2 soundtracks which have been put aside.

PS-I just added an extra question for the Epsilon OST-please correct me if I am wrong anywhere,but....it was an honest trouble to obtain a reliable playlist online.

PS-The Epsilon OST is fully available for polls now.

Beyond the obsidian sands at the begining of Obsidian Sands is pretty much the reason I exist

Beyond the Obsidian Sands really makes for a great Scorpion Cell theme-some would say-though I think Opening of the Gates is a better one as I can easily imagine Malver wreaking havoc in the enemy ranks.

I'll need to make a second poll for that-don't think I dislike Frank's work-it's great.But the damn prob is that you can have only 3 questions with 20 options for each poll,which hurts.

Epsilon OSTs are missing indeed. Inside Your Soul, Chaotic Impulse (it's the menu OST, how can you miss that???), Aenigmata, Forgotten, Duality, Virus vs. Predator, Solara...

For the epsilon, I like Relativity but since it's not in the poll, I voted for Beyond the Obsidian Sands. 

The thrill you feel in Dance of Blood when Relativity plays is pretty neat

That was what I thought before I heard it.But my opinion altered after the hearing in favor of ctOS Calibration.

Hard to pick because all factions have awesome music. For a faction's music suite, Soviets are my favorite, because HM and Vigilante. From Foehn's themes, Remnants of the Distant Future, from Epsilon's Inside Your Soul, Psychosis & Frostburn.

The Epsilon soundtrack is the standout. The playlist conveys it's rise and global supremacy suspiciously well...The needs of the many are outweighed by the needs of the Yuri...wait what? where am I?

 

I like Frostburn (GOAT), Inside Your Soul & Opening of the Gates from Epsilon.

 

...and One Final Chance & Heroic from the Foehn.

 

Again, very well curated soundtracks, whoever is responsible deserves a cookie.
