im using the ultimate collection on origin
im getting the error message "the specified online id or account name is already in use. please try another one" in the ingame menu
im using windows 10 home

i have looked through the known issues thread and found this problem there and i tried looking through shatabrick but there was nothing was cant claim anything
so is my mail already claimed as it is the way to login to red alert 3? (really confused)

Not sure if this could have something to do with an reserved nickname.
Have you played online before, before the gamespy server shut down?

yes on the ps3 when the game came out and nothing on the pc

I think this might be a case of an Online ID that may have already been claimed or is reserved and waiting to be reclaimed by the original owner.
If the account already exist, you should be able to find it on Shatabrick. If so, you may have to choose some other Online ID nickname that isn't reserved. http://www.shatabrick.com
However, you can also check if the Online ID is reserved here. http://www.shatabrick.com/gamespy/

that is the thing i have looked there for anything related to me in nicknames (including my email name because thats what you login with on red alert 3). no results so nothing reserved so cant claim anything there .
just to see the shatabrick system work i searched for toxicshock and found results atleast.
so i will need to make a new email for this to potentially work?

Don't think so.
I'll let ToxicShock know about the issue, he should be able to check server logs to see if something else might be going on.

What nick name (online ID) are you trying to use? I suggest you try a different one and see if that works.

im writing in my email as explained by the tutorial, so the same email/online id as i wrote down on my revora account.
so just so im understanding correctly, i should make another email and see if that works instead?
