C&C3 Problem activating game after installing patch.

Hello !

 

I have downloaded C&c 3 tiberium wars from origin and the game would start normally but could not play online. It would give me an error message that i need to check my internet connection or something. Then i followed this guide : 

https://cnc-online.net/en/setup/  and installed C&C online and also installed the patch 1.09.

After installing the patch when i try to start the game it asks tis :

login to ea account to activate game on this computer.  It will not accept my origin e-mail and password telling me that connection to the server was not possible and try again in a few minutes...

I also tried entering my revora e-mail and password but same outcome.

I disabled my firewall just in case but no luck either.

 

What am i doing wrong ?

I think you can just skip it, it was never necessary to activate the game with an ea account.

Is the activation window from Origin or is it an old timey window with a blue/white background?

Its the old style gray box with green header.

 

Also i just noticed an error message in the background telling me :

 

CA publick key patching routine failed.

I have contacted EA support and they told me to uninstall the game and re install it.

Probably the patch created this error.

 

How will i be able to play on-line without installing the patch ?

 

I tried to go on-line with C&C online and the game would give me the message that there is something wrong with my internet connection...

P.S. Could someone link me to the "official" download link for the patch ?

The link provided here for patch 1.09 does not seem to work :(

I am fairly certain that you do not need to manually install patch 1.09, as far as i know, the Origin version should be v1.09. 

Reinstall the game and check your version.

I reinstalled the game ano now it works. Actually it is versio 1.09. Now i get the "could not connect to backend server" error :(

Make sure the Launcher is setup correctly.

 

Hook the game, close the launcher. Then launch the game by shortcut, to the left click on the game you've just hooked.

Hopefully that'll solve the issue, usually you'll get this message when the game's still trying to connect to the official Gamespy server which was shutdown a long time ago.
