I have a friend who is desperately trying to play ra3 but can only connect to 1 player at a time. Any suggestions?. Has anyone experienced this?

Did he also made an exception in the firewall software regarding RA3?
Though, I can't imagine Windows XP would restrict the game to only be able to connect to just 1 player at a time.
Sadly I can't use Windows XP on my modern hardware, else I would have happily tested this theory.
