RA3 Unable to Connect

ra3 support need help

Best Answer ToxicShock, 27 November 2018 - 06:58 PM

If you were trying to play co-op games, this is a known issue with RA3 co-op where two players are using the same internet connection. One of you (but not both) will have to use a different internet connection or one (but not both) use a VPN.

We have been recommending Windscribe as a free VPN and generally speaking people have had a lot of success with that. You get 10GB per month for free if you provide an email address and that should be enough for your playing needs.

Greetings, Me and my brother bought Red Alert Three on STEAM to play together.

We are able to get in the same room lobby and everything, but when I click 'Begin' I am met with the following text.

"

Connections are in progress, or connection problems detected. Please wait for the connections to finish, or kick the player who has the connection problem.

Failed connections: 1-2

"

Me and him both have our FireWall(s) turned off. Ive run the diagnostics tool, here is what it said.

Using server nntest.cnc-online.net:30000

Bound to local port 49238

Bound to local alternate port 49239

Resolving hostname 'nntest.cnc-online.net'...

Sending client INIT from port 49238 to nntest.cnc-online.net:30000

Received server INIT [668038]

=========== SUCCESS ===========

Received 3 pings from nntest.cnc-online.net:40000.

NAT negotiation works with your router and connection. ==> You do not have to use port forwarding.

Press any key to continue . . .

I've gone down the forums trying to find a fix for this but Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

We are just trying to play normal versus skirmishes. But I will try with one of us using a VPN and report back.

Just reporting back. The solution you suggested with VPN worked. Thank you very much.
