This Issue has been resolved:  Ingame Profile

I actually found the resolution in a different part of the [READ BEFORE POSTING] Common Issues & Solutions

 

The post says: (in short)

- Upon login, the game says: 'Your nickname is bugged as '1' and will forbid online gaming'.
Solution: This happens when your account name (your Revora Log In name) has forbidden characters. Please make a thread to request a Log In name change.

 

 

Game: Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour
Source: Ultimate Collection

Platform: PC - Origin

Version: 1.04 (I believe, not 100% sure)

Other: GenTools 7.6

Operating System: Windows 10 Home

Platform: Laptop, MSI GS65 Stealth Thin 8RE

CNCOnline_Log.txt and %TEMP% both yielded no results in search on all Hard Drive Partitions

 

ISSUE: Your nickname is bugged as '1' and will forbid online gaming

Detail: Launch of Game is normal. I navigate to the online menu and enter my login credentials (Correctly). Apon hitting the "Login" key I am prompted with the Error "Your nickname is bugged as '1' and will forbid online gaming".

I created the account in 2015 and successfully played a few games with the exact same account and no issue. The laptop I used from that time was stolen. My guess is that most characters are no longer allowed as they can be used for abuse or in malicious ways. I understand that. reading the forums and trying to trouble shoot the issue solo has lead me to a post conveniently pinned for gamers like me; Thank you for that by the way.

yes a few minutes of browsing i realized i still had a page open to the cnc login cridentials where i had to go to remember my password. i didnt realize untill after reading this -

- in a post, that I could simply solve it myself. would have been useful if the "SOLUTION" were this: http://cnc-online.net/account/ then I would not have made this thread.
