So I was watching this following lengthy interview with Frank Klepacki, and after the 9:45 mark there is a questionnaire from the interviewer about the origin of soundbites in Frank's music for C&C1 and he answers that he had people come to the studio to do those voice overs and didn't sample them from movies, but they were watching movies such as Apocalypse Now and Top Gun and others which they took inspiration from for quotes and for the general vibe for the game and stuff. But it seems to me like the cinematics for example were partially inspired by those movies that he mentioned, such as the jetfighter scenes and aircraft carrier.

So I'm curious, what sort of things was MO inspired by in relation to it's development in terms of design and story elements? Movies or tv shows or books? This one goes to the devs as I already created an inspirations thread for fans, but fans can also comment. But much information in this regard would be under wraps I guess.

I'm pretty sure anime is quite a reference especially with the billboards, anime-girl heroes and the JoJo references.

I like gnomes
