Hey !

The idea of improving the capturable buildings experience by adding more features (meaning upgrades that can be purchased if the aforementioned buildings are under our command) is really interesting to me. This can be pretty refreshing while giving a true advantage of keeping these buildings instead of just destroying them.

But speaking specifically of what you're suggesting here, I think this is way too OP. First, an additionnal hero may be completely broken because the balance can easily be destroyed by giving a specific power to a faction that was not supposed to be able to summon this power. Plus the fact that heroes that come out of a building at a higher level and that cost way less than they should are also way too strong, that's why they removed the faction leader auto-level 5. Also, bad inn units are useless, nobody actually wants to spend resources and energy to keep an inn in order to recruit cheap Moria Orc Screechers or Orc Warriors, the idea is to immediately be able to recruit a powerful unit in a reasonably short time.

However, overall, I want to support the general idea of adding some special updates to capturable buildings, that's a good idea !

I have always said that all these neutral structures should have a more important function or just more functions, especially as the signal fires (for example) that only help to have a vision, but it is a very limited vision, perhaps some dynamics could be added, for example, if you conquering all of their in the map you can temporarily summon a hero or unit, or have greater benefits in units, resources, etc. Without a doubt, more use should be made of these structures

Thank you for your feedback Nerevar42 and Thranduil_King. :)
I am glad that others have similar ideas about expanding neutral structures.

Nerevar42, at your suggestion, I made some minor changes to my idea.
I think the units in the inn are not properly distributed. There are factions that have weaker units and need to recruit a lot of them to achieve anything with them (example: Moria Orc Screechers vs Greenwood Warriors). Most times, the AI acquires the neutral buildings first, so you need to protect not only your base, but also so that you can keep it and the AI will not occupy it.

The AOTR team already has ideas related to docks and naval battles.

Do not worry about it. :))
