Today I present you a new main-menu/shellmap I've made for patch 1.09. Using vanilla stuff, only some sounds are specific to 1.09. Enjoy! (ps: take some popcorn)

Looks pretty good. Some things I noticed that I would try to do different:

 

- The constant fading out to black and fading back in ruins the dynamics of the scene for me.

- There are black areas (e.g. 0:44 on the left) in the video where a skybox or a textured mountain could be used instead.

- It feels like the set-up to the action takes very long (the action pretty much begins at 1:10), and it feels like an eternity. Maybe the constant fading out and in contributes to that. Also the whole shell map takes almost 5 minutes to complete. Hardly anyone stays on the shellmap for such a long time, and the "good stuff" happens mostly halfway through and at the end of the shell map.

With that being said, of course I like the detail on the shell map and the moment the Witch-king and his armies come out is well done. I just feel like the set up for the scene is too long.
