After a number of tests and 3/4 evenings of unsure researching... I solved this problem where I was able to connect online in Tiberium Wars and Kane's Wrath, but I was unable to get the peer-to-peer (p2p) connection with the other players in the same room I was.

I've opened quite a bit of "solved" posts that just left me scratching my head. Since the guys opening them, once solved the problem just disappeared.

...Nuff said here's what worked for me:

- Before launching the game (through C&C: Online's launcher), I start Windscribe VPN (10 Gb free per month, all preferences left as default)

- In  Options -> Network  the VPN unlocks me the 'Online IP' selector and I select the IP that starts with "10. ..."

Done.

Some things that may also be relevant to you watching the post:

- The first time I tried to login online (in-game) with the new IP made available by the VPN my screen froze

- The tool which tells you whether you need to forward ports, told me that I didn't need to do port forwarding (aka mapping)

- I didn't try setting up a DMZ

- I own a private IP instead of a public one, so port forwarding wasn't a choice for me (am I right?)

- I didn't try opening UDP port 16000

- In my router configs (aka virtual server) I have "Universal Plug and Play" (UPnP) and "IPv6 on LAN" enabled

- My connection is 100 Mbps, when I was last active 1.5 yrs ago with slower connection I never had this problem

- My copy of the game is not from the Ultimate Collection, nor Steam

Since I'm a noob on this entire matter, please DO correct me if I've written something that might spread misinformation.

Now some questions:

- To avoid being reliant on the VPN: should I try setting up a DMZ, (can I even do that given my private IP?) ?

- If I successfully setup a DMZ should I be concerned about security?

Depending on where you got the game from.

if you got a legit copy from steam/ origing or CD copy of the game. then you will recive help. Our servers does not support cracked / pirtated copies, and i wont help you if thats the case.

- My connection is 100 Mbps, when I was last active 1.5 yrs ago with slower connection I never had this problem

ill give you a answer for a Connection issue regarding You not having it in the past.

if you have moved house changed internett providers or other stuff.

it may / can cause you needing to use a vpn.

so if you dont have a legit copy of the game, get one and it will be sorted. tw / kw is on steam and can be baught sepratly (not you need tw in Your libray to play kw on steam) or you can buy the ultimate Collection on origin and get all the games in 1 buy.

I got CD copies of both games, I bought TW in 2008 and shortly after KW. I can prove it, I can send photos, and btw I have already solved my problem I just wanted to help the next player with the same problem out.

About the 2 questions I asked I was just curious. If you are unsure, by all means don't answer them.

If you can believe it I was trying to help people out since the community is already slim, the more players play (online) the better.

not sure if Your already a member or not, but if Your looking for games, you can join Our discord here https://discord.gg/hPPfJT3

we do have a #support chat there aswell to help out, but i am dominating that chat ;)

ah good way to keep the comuntiy alive is to ask for games in any of the chats in Our discord,

Yeah the activety is basicly dead, but if keep asking over time you will find a few you can chat to, and so it will grow.

I have met alot fo People that way,
