Generals Zero Hour - Cant connect to games

My friend and i are trying to use GenTool to connect and play online.


We both have the Ultimate Collection Version of Zero Hour via Origin.

Both have GenTool 7.8

Both have c&c online net accounts

Have run the tools and utilities that check ports etc. they show SUCCESS (you don't need to use port forwarding)

Have set all the comparability modes etc.


All the things you find what people say to try we've tried.


I can connect to games online and play with other people, my friend can't.


When we try and play together my game hangs on the connection screen and his 'loading bar' doesn't load. 

He gets into the game and it says the other player disconnected.


We've also tried LogMeIn & ZeroTier network proxies and the same problem occurs.


Does anyone have any ideas or can offer any help? 


Would love to get playing again!

This is a tough question indeed. Did you try to set different ports at the port override field in the Game Options Menu?
