So far the Drake Lair, drakes themselves, Durin's Bane, and ruins of Angmar cause nearly the entire screen to glitch out and turn black. The issue persists any time a Drake Lair (the built structure, no experience yet with creep drake) is onscreen, even in the pre-construction transparent preview. Same goes for the Balrog. Drakes are alright so long as they are not selected or in combat, so I'm assuming it has to do with their fire-breathing animation. If I relocate the view to somewhere else on the map far away from the culprit objects, the glitch goes away, but will immediately resume if I go back to the affected area of the map. Something about these units and possibly others causes all of the onscreen textures to throw a fit for as long as they're in the field of view. This issue is not specific to any particular maps.
EDIT: The issue also occurs during any bombardment-type ability, such as Barrages and the falling rocks in Mount Doom. It also happens during any "wizard-blast"-type effects (Sauron/Necromancer attacks, spells, etc.) as well as during other effects such as Hobbit cloaks and the distorted ring around Farsight/Palantir vision. The death animations of Risen Dunedain also seems to cause it for some reason.
Adjusting graphics settings does nothing.
