Due to a significantly large part of the MO community solely playing on singleplayer campaign and skirmish.

I'd like to suggest that the team can release a "singleplayer version" of co-op campaign missions, at the same time the co-op version would still be available to those whom wish to play with a friend online.

I find it particulary hard to not only find a companion to play with, but to play with them on a SPECIFIC mission, for the chances of you wanting to play a specific mission with someone is relatively low.

Not only that but it can frustrating if teaming up with a newbie or inexperienced player, with save/load not possible through multiplayer, this makes every step of the mission increasingly more important than playing solo.

And finally, lag, i believe it can be extremely frustrating for you to almost complete a co-op mission after x number of attempts, but then have your teammate disconnect at the last phase of the mission. (it has happened to me)

Its too much of a nuisance to play co-op, those whom have close friends and a mic are the only ones benefiting, whilst the rest of the players miss out playing 35+ missions.

Playing CO-OP becomes like dating, you have to find a great girl whom clicks with you and whom you can get along well with (teamwork), but at the same time ya gotta agree on a certain place to date (co-op mission) and hope that she doesn't flake or bails out on you at the middle of the date due to whatever reason (lag and disconnect)

I envision something like the missions in red alert 3, wherein someone can either have the AI or a friend as an ally to complete the mission.

I've discovered you can actually sort of play co-op in single player with an AI ally. On conventional base building missions it's not too bad, but they tend to just bum rush themselves into oblivion on any missions with a finite amount of forces.

I can testify that man, good thing somehow such missions works with the AI as an ally, making this suggestion more easier to incorporate in the future version.

Problem is those missions that really require another player to advance.

That's all very great but in the next update you won't even be able to start a co-op mission solo. They're all being modified to put even more emphasis on "co-op gameplay" too.

Honestly co-ops are either two things
1. Bootleg skirmish with two enemies (Like Needlehead)
2. A mission that would be a total cakewalk in solo compared to the actual coordination challenge as co-op (Cyberanatomy, Intoxicated)

Other missions are really cool though and are in direct alignmennt with the story.

The others that are bootleg skirmish.. Eh, im good without them tbh.

Co-Ops are Co-Ops, they're not intended to be played solo. Any additional changes we do to this particular set of 36 maps are to put even more emphasis on 2P gameplay, not less. Besides, due to the nature of the maps that are played in skirmish, and co-op maps still technically being skirmish maps, converting them to singleplayer would be a nightmare. There's a huge amount of workarounds and "hacks" to make their scripts work the way they do and then we'd have to keep track of double the amount of map files for further updates. We would basically have to create another set of 36 missions and treat them as separate entities for scripting, bugtracking and updating. I understand where your suggestion is coming from, but it's not going to happen.
