What exactly is unclear to you about the build limit?

How to make special units buildable in custom maps and also make that map be selected in ultimate alliances.

By special units do you mean some campaign exclusive ones or what?

 

Add GameMode=Ultimate Alliance under [Basic] section inside your map,

Exclusive ones from campaign. Also is there a way to make special buildings buildable like psychic beacon. Can i also change the build limit for units and buildings?

Taking a Psychic Beacon as an example:

[NAPSYB]

Prerequisite= ;; List of buildings required to built it, separated by commas

TechLevel=  ;; from 1 to 10

Owner=USSR,Latin,Chinese,PsiCorps,Headquaters,ScorpionCell,Europeans,UnitedStates,Pacific,Guild1,Guild2,Guild3

 

For units it's similar, usually changing those three flags is enough.

BuildLimit=   flag is what you need

 

EDIT: yeah, in case you don't know the unit's ID, open the map editor, place that unit/building anywhere on a map an hover your cursor over it. At the bottom of a screen on the status bar you'll see something like: Structure: ID 0, Psychic Beacon (PsiCorps, NAPSYB) NAPSYB would be building's ID.

I have understand everything you have told.But can you briefly explain about build limit. I have also been wondering, Will the special features of psychic beacon will work or its just a building with no special attributes.

It's just a building with no special attribute. The feature is all map triggers

Well, the KOTH gamemode has one, it's pretty much a Psychic Dominator with full map AOE and no damage.
