some bugs it would be good to correct

There are some bugs that make the mod very painful to play imo:

-troops being blocked in the midst of enemy troops, not being able to attack and taking damage, that happens most of the time actually in battles involving more than 3 batalions. commands just don't work in these situations.

-archers not being able to aim from a cliff which makes ambush/strategic positioning of archers non existent in the game

-graphics taking so much ram it's impossible to play w/ 4 players even in low

-ai difficulty kind of stressing and just consisting of the enemy having a lot more resources than you at the start..

-i've already posted before about my bug w/gondor (one of the main powers don't work, which ruins the synergy of the faction)

 

 

 

 

 

in resume, the mod is very well thought in theory. all the different factions are interesting to play and offer rewarding combinations. in theory. cause in practice, the game is still not running well to be fun in long term.

1. I believe this is an Engine limitation based on the pathing process. I don't think there is any good way to resolve this.

2. This could possible be fixed although it will base on the map design and the severity of the grade difference.

3. Another Engine limitation. I'm sure the team does the best they can to optimize the assets but unfortunately this Engine was never designed to handle high quality assets in large quantities.

4. I'm sure there will be tweaks/balancing to the AI in the future. The BFME2/ROTWK AI system is very simplistic in its base form so the easiest way to increase the difficulty is to simply give them more resources, which is likely what the team has done.

5. I don't know anything about that, sorry.

 

I'm not a part of the team but I thought I'd give my opinion on these bugs and what might be done about them.
