I've been trying to play the original game lately but there's no patch switcher (besides Forshire's that doesn't work), and having the CD mounted with WinCDEmu doesn't seem to fix the "No CD-ROM" issue. I see people playing 1.00 on Gameranger, does anyone know of a guide for it anywhere?

UPDATE 2: Using https://www.moddb.co...-startup-fixxer and mounting the images above I was able to get 1.00 running

Can't get it to work in a Windows XP virtual machine either.
Anyone have any ideas?

Alright I went out and I BOUGHT a blank DVD and FLASHED the BFME iso onto it, RAN the installer from that ISO, and it STILL said no CD-ROM.
Does anyone know anything about this? I'm at my wits end

BTW for any future readers- it DOES work with Alcohol 120%! (Not WinCDEmu, not Daemon Tools Lite). I got it working with that
