Yet another Commandos-like game announced today! From the trailer, it looks promising.

Edit: First gameplay.

And it is developed with coop in mind which a lot of people here should like.

Demo should be available today until 22nd of June, so everyone can check it out.

Is it available though? I also would have loved to take my hands on it as basically the most exciting title of the Steam Next Fest, but looks like this game disappeared from the roster without any explanation.

I didn't have time to check it out myself but it seems you are right. Weird, as I am sure it was announced to have a demo available... I have no idea then.

War Mongrels is featured on the Steam Next Fest, demo is available to try for a week: https://store.steamp...0/War_Mongrels/ Single player only though, coop is locked for now.

  • Minimum:
    • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
    • OS: Windows® 7 (Service Pack 1) / Windows® 8 / Windows® 8.1 / Windows® 10 / (64-bit only)
    • Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 or Intel Core i5-7400.
    • Memory: 8 GB RAM
    • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950 or AMD Radeon R9 270. At least 2GB of dedicated VRAM.
    • DirectX: Version 11
    • Network: Broadband Internet connection
    • Storage: 35 GB available space
    • Sound Card: Integrated or dedicated DirectX 11 compatible soundcard.

I think I can manage this in about 10 years from now. But in 2009 Men of War "requiered" a dual-core and it turned out to be just as fast on a good single-core cpu. The devs were heavily critisized for that. Do you have the minimum?

@Jeroen: I'm somewhere around the recommended, so it's not so surprising that it runs smooth. Comments on Steam are usually not about perfomance issues, so I guess the game does what it promises, and even though one could maybe run the game on lower spec machines, but either it won't be playably smooth or visually appealing I'm afraid.
