For future notice

If your Origin install from Zero Hour complains about non matching game versions do following

Make sure that the lobby you want to join is not for a mod since modded games and vanilla share the same lobbys (usually they are marked with special lobby names or map names)
If you confirmed that the lobby is vanilla so non modded and still the versions do not add up do following

Repair your game via origin
Reinstall gentool
Boot up your game and check bottom left if your screen If it says normal game install if it says modified game install please download and install the programm called Genpatcher for any questions hit me up on discord Go to the full post

Hi all!

I'm using the Origin version of Zero Hour and downloaded the latest gentool version. All connection goes well, setting up the account went fine and connecting to online works. I can talk to others in the lobbies and I can see the games.

However, trying to join one of these games gives me an error that states that I'm using a different version of the game than the lobby.

I've looked around on the forums, possible solutions were an outdated version of gentool or using a cracked game, but I can assure you I paid for this Origin Zero Hour version and I haven't done anything weird to modify the game. I have done so in the past, we're talking years and years ago, but recently started playing C&C again and decided to buy it forreals this time.

I'm on Windows 10, and there is no error log file in my temp folder.

Anyone can help?

Thanks! :thumbsuphappy:

If you have the ultimate version of the game check this thread:

Also make sure you are on patch 1.04

Please Help!!

I am trying to play Zero Hour with a buddy that lives out of state and we cannot see each other games.  We've tried multiple things to no avail.  Please advise.
