RA3 Coop shows connection failed 1-2.

Best Answer Balthamos1392, 15 February 2021 - 06:21 PM

All, I sought help on the discord as well as here. I was advised by Medstart that the problem could be caused by both clients being on the same network causing a problem. Resolved this by using Windscribe VPN which is free for a limited amount of data.

You and your friend should do the conenction test https://forums.revor...-report-issues/ and if one of them results in a fail you should use a vpn like  https://windscribe.com/ that supports ipv4

Both computers are successful in connection test. Still the same error

I am also seeing this error message. I'm trying to play the cooperative campaign with another player in the same house (and therefore on the same network). I've gone through the troubleshooting steps. The only ones I haven't followed are regarging changing the router DMZ settings. The connection test tool above returns success on both servers. I've also done some further testing and found the following:

1. I can do local network skirmish without problem (not too surprising).

2. Online skirmish does not work with either player as host.

3. Both machines can host a game with an external player joining.

4. One of the machines can join and start games hosted by other players (haven't tested the other yet but hope this is made redundant by step 2).

If I've missed anything in my steps please let me know and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Using a VPN fixes the issue. Thanks.
