I got the same problem, and after having an unplayable session on supreme commander, this was the fix

then zero hour had problems like above mentioned

I reinstalled a lower version nvidia driver (currently on 457.51) and lo and behold, zero hour works again

Hello,

I've been playing Zero Hour off and on this year (win10), last played something like 8 months ago just fine with gentool and such off Origin Zero Hour with someone else with the same setup.  Tried playing today and when the game finishes syncing after kicking off the match, everything freezes for me and a "vote kick" option shows for my friend.  He also gets a vote kick option.

We did notice the gen tool is on version 8.2 now and there is a new launcher, so we grabbed the new launcher, and installed Gen Tool 8.2.   Installs were successful, but no dice.  We then went through the ringer of the usuals:  reinstallation, turning off windows firewalls, disabling virus protection, direct connect to modems (NO ROUTER INVOLVED), but same issue.

Since no router involved, no protection of any kind software-wise, and everything up to date (that we're aware of), we're kinda stuck at this point.  Any and all suggestions are welcome.

Thanks!

Excellent!  I'll get with my buddy and see if we can scrounge up a session to give this a try.  If this does end up being a fix, it is an irritating one as obviously we can't roll other games with ancient video drivers, but at least its something.  Will report back after findings...

That did it Dalaii.  My buddy regressed his nvidia drivers back by a few months in 2020 (not sure what specific version).  No more disconnect issue.  My video drivers aren't super up to date so I'm wondering if I update mine if it'll cause the same issue. Will know to try this fix if the issue happens then.

Thanks again!
