I've not logged in for a few years and when I try with just the correct e-mail and password the prompt " the specified online ID or account name is already in use. Please try using a different one" and when I log in with the correct e-mail, password AND user, the prompt "a system error occurred. Try again later. If the problem persists, contact customer support"

What game and where did you get it from? 

Also you can try just logging in using a different name since the specified ID error only appears if you type a name that is already in use.

Make sure that you follow the hooking procedure correctly as well:

1. If you have cnc online open, close it before doing anything else.

2. Not necessary, but in some cases it helps, disable your antivirus.

3. Open steam/origin, and create a shortcut for your game.

4. Open CNC Online and hook your game, then close the launcher.

5. Now double click the shortcut you created, it should take you to the cnc online launcher, and go from there.
