"The host has left the game"

red alert 3

Best Answer Zahnschmerz1989, 25 December 2021 - 06:26 PM

Dear Xads,

maybe, but when googling for "Host has left the game",  this thread comes up. Many more people, not only in this forum, will find this helpful maybe.

Troubleshooting:

1. Ok, so the port-forwarding of 16000 didnt do anything, also since DMZ was activated for both of us while trying to connect.

2. BUT, I went back to make sure that we are on the same network using Cyberghost while disabling IP6 in the LAN adapter and VPN adapter settings and making sure, once again, that the IP selection in RA3 is the one from the VPN for both for us.

Result: It worked. We could connect just fine. No error message anymore.

I tried the same thing with hamachi and it also worked just fine.

Thread can be closed.

Thank you for your help.

My friend and I are trying to play co-op Red Alert 3 and multi player. We overcame like 3 other issues he was having while my game worked flawlessly. Now he can actually play the game but upon attempting to play co-op or anything of the sort we try to join each others game and get "The host has left the game" or a failure to join. I cant for the life of me figure out what to do. We have tried disabling firewalls and each making lobbies of all different kinds. We are both on the same most recent patch

Could both of you do the connection test https://forums.revor...-report-issues/ (extract and run the .bat file) and tell me the results?
if any of you also managed to start a game with random people then please tell me as well as where your game is from

Dear xads,

could we please revive this thread?  My buddy and I have the same exact issue. I searched your forum but only found two topics on this issue here. This one and one from 2017, both being unsolved.

https://forums.revor...t-the-game-bug/

Then I checked discord, found many who had the same issues, but all those requests remained unsolved (at least no public solution that got confirmed)

1.Start the game via C&C Online Launcher (Game is hooked)

2.Network Options says "No IP" . Also have no port no. Delay is turned off.

3.I log on to the online mode and start a coop/ network skirmish, and invite my buddy.

4.He accepts the invite and gets an error message as above: Host has left the game.

5.Same applies the other way around, however, we both are able to join other random peoples games.

Networks: Different ISPs. Tested same network via VPN. Tested different ones, too, he with VPN, me without VPN. Gives the same result.

Used IP4 VPN (Cyberghost) while ip6 is turned off and correct IP is selected in game: Didnt work.

Yes I checked out Windscribe, but data-integrity is too important for me. Same goes with Hamachi (non commercial version, that isn't setup installed by IT)

I use Cyberghost.

Games: RA3 - Both from Ultimate Edition from Origin

Firewall: We bothered with approving both RA3 /RA3ep1 files, but in the end we disabled the FW to make sure. Didn't help.

Ports forwarded:

  • TCP: 3783, 4321, 6660-6669, 28900, 29900-29901
  • UDP: 6515, 6500, 13139, 27900

NATnegtest: Both ok.

Restartet Router and PCs: Yes, several times.

It must be something with either my or his setup, but I am out of luck with troubleshooting after 12 hours of trying.

Btw, what is the reason to use a VPN by one person in the first place? Non of our ports are blocked by ISP, and the network is automatically different if we are not in the same household.

Hope you can help

Best regards

Wouldve been better to start a new topic on this, however to answer your question, windscribe is used to provide an ipv4 ip for people who may not have it or otherwise give an alternate working connection and has been proven to work with all the games to solve peer 2 peer connection problems. Your problem is however more severe and i dont know the direct cause of it, what i would suggest you and your friend try is forward this port as well UDP 16000 and report back on if anything changed ot not, if not then i will refer you to another person with more knowledge on this.
