Is there anyway to change hotkeys for Contra?

The latest version (Contra 009 Final Patch 3 Hotfix 2) provides two hotkey styles: Legacy (original) and Leikeze. Choose either the !!!!Contra009Final_Patch3_EN_Leikeze.ctr or !!!!Contra009Final_Patch3_EN_Legacy.ctr file as your starting point. Download FinalBig. You need it to open .big files. Rename the extension of one of the mentioned .ctr files to .big. Go ahead and open the file using FinalBig. Select and extract the Generals.str file anywhere you want. You can edit it with any text editor. When you are done with changes, import your edited file back into the .big/.ctr file and save. Make sure you have selected the proper hotkey style in the Contra Launcher (depending on which style you edited).

Hotkeys are marked by an ampersand sign before the desired letter. For example - "&Dozer" makes "D" the hotkey.
