Getting a error box saying "Could not connect to Kane's Wrath Online" when trying to login ingame, playing on steam and using correct login details

No VPNs, game is properly hooked, triple checked it. Added an exception for cnc online application to the firewall, do I need to do so for Kane's Wrath too? 169 is the first number in the online IP setting, the port number setting is blank.
