i cant save in the .ini.big  when i edet it as it just tries to save somewhere else or decompress the file in it as it generates a error message

Set up a proper -MOD file setup

This uses a duplicate of the INI , but with your changes 

The shortcut accesses this MOD folder to allow changes 

There are posts which demonstrate how it is done 

If you know how to use FinalBig program and EXTRACT ALL a BIG file , then try downloading basic Mods and see how it’s done , how it’s set up

My own mod is set this way , as is many other basic mods ..The larger mods can get really complicated in their setup
