Also, this is a much larger network, and we need a few more rules to keep things orderly and such. Things are still being sorted, so just hold on for a few more bumpy days while things are figured out.

25kb is more than fair -> Save the image as a JPG or GIF and you get about 7kb. Bitmaps just take up alot. A 640x480 image in BMP takes 900kb and in JPG it takes 26kb. Do the maths
