unable to connect c&c: generals zero hour zero hour

I just download Revora and installed Gentool, but I still can't seem to get online services to work. Everytime I select Multiplayer>Online I get this error message, "Unable to establish a connection with Command & Conquer: Generals - Zero Hour servers. Please check your internet connection." I have a stellar internet connection. Why am I still seeing this message? What did I miss in the setup process?

I have the same issue with generals. My friend can login, but i cannot seem to establish an connection.
