Country Bashing

England. I promised I'd get to it. The only country that really maintains its royalty. For some reason they think it's great to blow the shit out of Argentina for no real reason. Get it in your heads. If you found a piece of dirt the size of the Falklands in your salad, you wouldn't send it back.
So what if they took it? It was an accident. A civilian put an argentinian flag on one of the islands, and then big old Britain came down to bash the shit out of them. At least we were deposing dictators.
Politicians in Britain are horrible. Also political ideas. That purple powder in the condom was just stupid. Blair's got giant teeth. Why do you have a PM that nobody listens to? He's ignored. When ever he speaks, people fall asleep or just leave Parliament. He's a bore.
Go ahead, flame Bush. I don't care. He's a cocaine sniffing moron. Flame Cheney, but I like him, he has the balls to say "F*ck" on the Senate Floor, even if he is a moment away from a heart attack. I want to make a point. Flame my country, and I can flame all of yours with the same proficiency.

I don't like to flame countries as such. Their politicians, fine. But not the countries themselves.
And given what I've seen of America, they've every right to be proud of what they have.
I can understand why people might not want their countries to be insulted...and i think it's only fair they be allowed to ask others to stop if they so choose.
Personally, I don't mind people bashing England. I'll be right there next to you with the bashing-paddle. But for those who do mind...I can understand it.
I hate England. I want to go and live in America. So you won't hear any America bashing from me anymore. Only pisstakes at Bush and other politicians, but not America.

Don't flame my country. Ever.
Don't be so f*****g childish. You want us to just stand there and let you walk all over us? No wonder American stereotypes are what they are.

Corrupt program now requires constant reboots and does not function at all in majority of instances. Designed with a web browser component to replace AOL, it has exceeded our expectations by being more crashy and unreliable and with worse tech support. We didn't think it was physically possible! A general product recall is advised; when it does function it seems to require background processes Girl 0.1Beta to stave off further crashes. Will someone PLEASE remove that code, and insert Backbone 1.9 in its place? That's assuming we even bother to continue this prog.

i dont get this "im proud of my country" crap. its a country...whats to be proud of? its a place to live, thats all
Thats the one most people go for. As you can see, it's bollox. It's like supporting a football team though good and bad- you only do it because there your team.Patriotism is your conviction that this country is superior to all others because you are part of it.
This goes back to the cave man days when one tribe said to another "were better, this our land", since then territorial wars have raged.
Borders and walls of the lands and of the mind.

I'm damn proud of my country, for good reason.
- I agree with Remora, it's just a damn country... a place to live.
Democracy today was born here,
- Somewhere in Europe... maybe the democracy we see today has its birth in France. Most of the ideals in the american revolution came from France.
and American ideals have shaped the world for the better.
- This is completely false. It has shaped your country for better, not the others. It's the democracy of cash, like rich people cant be arrested properly, because their lawyers always get some sort of habeas corpus while poor people get years in jail for robbing a stupid thing. Anyway, money decides your true rights in the democracy shaped by your country and being spread around... And who has the more cash currently, are these big enterprises and banks and they are shaping the current misery around the rest of the world (including my country).
Don't flame my country. Ever.
- And you don't flame France, damn it.
Don't call my country evil.
- No, it's not... just the government... specially when a republican has the power.
Don't allege war crimes, because every American soldier is the same as the British, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Italian, Spanish, Ukranian, Polish, and Mexican soldier.
- But they killed much more innocents than all other countries together... specially in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
The French aren't included in there. They're all comrades.
- If the frenchs hadnt support USA in their independence war, USA wouldnt be free so early.
They all act the same, they all fight the same. If you want to flame a country, flame the politicians, not the military ('cept the Chair Force)
- Yea, the politicians are more dangerous than the militaries . I agree.
England. I promised I'd get to it. The only country that really maintains its royalty. For some reason they think it's great to blow the shit out of Argentina for no real reason. Get it in your heads. If you found a piece of dirt the size of the Falklands in your salad, you wouldn't send it back.
- England government sucks just as much as yankees and they are also responsible for many war crimes and misery around the whole world.
So what if they took it? It was an accident. A civilian put an argentinian flag on one of the islands, and then big old Britain came down to bash the shit out of them. At least we were deposing dictators.
- Actually, your country was the one who stabilished the dictatorship in south american countries...
Politicians in Britain are horrible.
- I agree. Bush is a way worse, believe me.
Also political ideas. That purple powder in the condom was just stupid. Blair's got giant teeth. Why do you have a PM that nobody listens to? He's ignored. When ever he speaks, people fall asleep or just leave Parliament. He's a bore.
- Blair is just Bush's pet .
Go ahead, flame Bush.
- If I was a bit more inspired, I would flame that terrorist.
I don't care. He's a cocaine sniffing moron. Flame Cheney, but I like him, he has the balls to say "F*ck" on the Senate Floor, even if he is a moment away from a heart attack.
- Cheney is a freaking asshole that just want the oil from Iraq. Bastard!
I want to make a point. Flame my country, and I can flame all of yours with the same proficiency.

That was essentially uncalled for Mr. Terrorist French Muslim Extremist Bastard.
Now that just shows the USA at its best, in the UK yesterday a political party called the BNP which are just a band of racist thugs were filmed secretly and comments like that were heard. Britain has to get involved in things as most of them are problems we have caused eg Afganistan, Iraq, Iran, Palestine and Israel.

The reason the US thinks it's best is because most people don't know anything. Do they have any idea how European democracy works? In the Netherlands, we have roughly 15 parties, giving you actually the chance to vote for your ideals, not what's best for your wallet.
You'll say now that Americans DO know stuff of the world, well let me tell you this - When my father was in the USA, told 'em he lived in the Netherlands, they asked him if he didn't find it scary to live so close to Bosnia! Hell, even my brother couldn't miss a target by that much!
The soldiers may all be the same, but what's happened in the Iraqi prisons wasn't good. I believe and hope that it was only a small minority that would do such a thing, and that's it's only in those circumstances.
And the Falklands? Hell, were Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Irak even part of the USA? No! They set up US-controlled dictators in Vietnam and came to their rescue!

So the US is the world's best democracy, yet it's citizens don't have anything to do with it politicians... contradiction!

I agree with you. Although geography ignorance is everywhere, not only in USA . There are still loads of people who ask me where is Brazil or if Brazil is located in Africa , while Brazil, being the fifth biggest country in the world, is easy to be spotted at South America.
As for the "best democracy", I dont aprove very much the democracy of my country but I'm 100% sure that it's much better than USA, because we don't have a brother of a presidential candidate manipulating the votes... actually, there is no known corruption in brazilian eletronic elections system (which became an example for the yankees themselves). By pressing 3 buttons (2 digits and enter), you already voted in the president . And results here get available in less than 6 hours.
What I don't like here is that politicians are a way corrupted and parties are no longer reliable.
