Thanks to a Jonny Wilkinson drop goal 20 seconds from the end of extra time England have won the 2003 Rugby World Cup, beating the hosts 20-17.

Never heard of him, or the Rugby world cup. I guess that's what I get for being American.

Well, when it comes to writing an expository essay about counter-insurgent tactics, I'm of the old school. First you tell them how you're going to kill them. Then you kill them. Then you tell them how you just killed them.

I've always wanted to watch Rugby, but they don't have it across the pond in America. Over here, THE man is Brett Favre (IMO)

lol I've been seeing commercials for the Cup on ESPN and whatnot it's pretty amusing...

Dramatic opera-orchestra combo music, clips throughout the season, and powerful phrases such as "The world's most popular chamionship"... when most people I know don't even know how to properly pass a rugby ball.

backwards or to the side, rugby is better than american football, and the reassuring way i found out we won was that i had a crowd outside my house signing, i was increidbly suprised we won.

how is Rugby better then Football? I don't want to get into a debate about it, but rugby always seemed one dimensional to me, the only reason I think its cool is no pads. And they hit harder in football, while they just throw people down in rugby

I think I prefer American Football, for messing around with no pads or anything. It's an excuse to throw myself into people.

Though I like doing rugby penalty kicking.

Being in a scrum (?) i think it's called in Rugby was one of the most fun athletic experiences I've ever had (played with a bunch of Brits visiting my dad's company for the week)... can't tell you which sport I enjoy more though

You don't have to be in a scrum, you can be a wing man and just run alot.

Yeah, I prefer American football, even though it isn't perceived to be as violent, since it's got more strategy, and requires more athleticism than sheer brutality.
