Well I had a look on BBC News in the tech section and I Windows XP sp2 is out the Uk site si not up yet but I assume it will be soon, Im waiting until some1 else with a 'liberated' copy gets it cos Ive heard that it doesnt work with copies and wait a few hours and some hacker-anti microsoft group will have found a flaw and be exploiting it.

I've had SP2 for quite some time now. My dad got in on the beta somehow, so we've been using it for a month or two. I don't know how it will work with a liberated copy though...

Well, when it comes to writing an expository essay about counter-insurgent tactics, I'm of the old school. First you tell them how you're going to kill them. Then you kill them. Then you tell them how you just killed them.

Well you seem to be lucky as I went into my local computer shop and they don't recomend anyone downloading it as it had MAJOR flaws.

You just know that girlfriend is a show off to all the other computer nerds he gets through the door in order to make them envy him.

Of course any good nerd would see through the plot and mock him behind his back

What's so flawed about it anyway?

Get the corporate edition. It's crack-free and it doesn't need activation.

Actually XPSP2 WILL work on pirated copies! Read the story at Xillion Computers. And when this thread was created SP2 was out, it was just well hidden on the Microsoft site as it was just for testers. It has been released to the general public now.

There is NOTHING wrong with SP2, I've been using the beta for about 3 months now and everything works fine. In fact they all work better than with SP1.

I'm sure I've said this before, but NEVER say something's bad until you've actually used it for a decent amount of time.

Yeah, and I just happen to have most of those programs AND THEY WORK FINE! Microsoft just said they would work "differently" due to the data execution restrictions.
