I have the Half-Life Platinum Collection. It includes HL1, Blue Shift, Opposing Force, Team Fortress, and CounterStrike.

Unfortunately I can't get it to upgrade, so I can't play online.

Does anyone know how to make it upgrade?

The normal way doesn't work for me. :(

First, find out what your current version is. It should say some crap in the top right of the console, thats the version number and client build number.

Next find out what the current verion is... *looks*... It's 1.1.1.0
Now you goto google and put "#.#.#.# to 1.1.1.0 patch" and see what shows up.

I have 1.1.0.6, unfortunately there is not patch that I can find to go directly to 1.1.1.0 :(

There might be.

You want to play the mods and not the original game. As the mods are alot better :)
Natural Selection is just 1 of many.

I got the pack with HL, Blueshift, Counter Strike and Opposing Force about a year ago and hadn't even installed it until yesterday.
56k stops me from playing it :shiftee:

What :o
As games go, HL is one of the most 56k friendly games around.
Even the intensive NS works well for me.

Depends how long it takes you to go down the shops and buy PC Gamer (DVD). The patch libery with PC Gamer is realy good ;)2

Downloading it will take about 10 hours.

I just so happens I purchased a PC Gamer a few days ago, sadly I believe it is the CD-ROM version rather than DVD.
Nutz.
Any servers run old versions?
