We have got much to show you guys today!

Let's start with the Ferdinand/Elephant ingame:

Popup Turret
Like I said in the last news post we're very busy with the German mission. The Germans will fight against the Frenchies in that mission. The French used a very powerful "Popup Turret" against the Germans. It had a cannon size of 135 mm!

Fuel System
We have decided to implement sub objects for all our vehicles. For now, this includes a fuel tank. The fuel tanks will be seen ingame as selectable subobjects. The current system works like this:

1) You apply a generals ability to a group of vehicles

2) Their fuel tanks become destructible. Usually they cannot be targeted individually - after applying the ability they can

3) Destroying the fuel tank will take the entire vehicle with it.

Here can you see how it works ingame:

USA Mission
Mongoose is currently making a map for one of the USA missions. The map isn't done yet but here's a sneak-preview:

A new American piece, the M18 Hellcat:

Concept Art Contest
Just to remember you. There are three days remaining to send in your concept for the German Tech Center.

Well that was it for now.

the pop up turret reminds me of the cannons on the maginot line , looks cool.
I must say your mod is looking better and better , it's nice to see that you're continuing it when other modding teams working on the WW2 theme (but shan't be named) are not bothering to finish their work (again).

I visited the hackenberg fort a couple of years ago, that's how I recognised the turret. :)

Is the popup turret going to have any advantages when it's down?

and BTW, finish the MG atop the hellcat :)

err , well the green is different and the tank looks worn in , which is much better than some of the older stuff , so i was wondering if that colour scheme and details would be added to the other vehicles.

well , it's got little scratches and stuff like that on the paint work , little markings at the back , that kind of stuff that you can see on the hellcat picture further up.
it looks like it's been used, basicly.which is more realistic IMO.

compare it with this old picture

these shermans look brand new and clean , a bit like toys you might say (no offense).

that's what I meant by worn in.
