Hey there,
What do all you guys think are the best battleplans for a Vanilla USA to use, when faced with certain opponents?
I want it to choose its battleplan based upon the enemy faction.
I'd reckon that Hold the Line is useful when fighting Airforce General in particular, since it gives your Strat Center survivability against the inevitable raptor/aurora attacks. Most of the time I use S&D, as this spots Spies entering the base and gives ground forces a weapon range bonus.
Any suggestions/thoughts?

Id use hold the line for most occasions really for protection, however youll probably want S&D for tomahawks and rocketvees...
Bombardment is just plain useless in my eyes unless you need to take some targets out with one tomahawk instead of two, OR when you have ground enemies around (but that cannon is so useless id just go for HTL and make it survive)...

What the Pro-Players use:
- USA Generic/Laser Generals -> Search and Destroy (normally used for providing that extra offensive range)
- USA AirForce General -> Hold The Line (only effecting ground units this will give this General added armour to protect his base as his fist is in the air)
- USA Superweapon General -> Bombardment (giving this General added homeland protection and providing the most in punching through armour)
Now of course you can debate this up the Ying-Yang but generally I use these and they rock! The SupW General can use either Bombardment or Hold The Line (she is a defensive general so giving extra armour to defend is idle) but the template above is generally what is used.
For me: SEARCH AND DESTROY all the frick'n WAY! Giving your units extra range is a huge advantage! Whats the point of knife-fighting when you can eradicate your opponent before they know it?

Hmmm, what about making either the Battle Plan be picked randomly or either set it so like the USA gens will use like HTL against the Nuke gen, and Bombardment on the Tank gen, you know a set Plan for different generals Against different generals, not just HTL.
