I was never really very excited about the game... A ton of people got real hyped up about it, but I just so some good screenshots and never really visualized myself buying the game.
Although I played the demo on my PC Gamer CD and found it lots of fun... next thing I know I went out and bought the game. I've been playing all day, its real interesting how you can play out the game on the battlefield and politically... Its a fun investment and anyone who liked age of mythology or other hack and slash rts games will probably like this one.

I played the demo and wasn't overly impressed. But then I've also not liked Soldiers or any of the other recent RTS's, so I don't know. The only game I've found that has amazed me in the recent past is Doom 3. Otherwise I've not seen anything worth getting. I'm still waiting on BFME though, and Half Life 2 may get me to buy it, but I don't know anymore. I'll probably just build my own engine rather than mod it...

Well, when it comes to writing an expository essay about counter-insurgent tactics, I'm of the old school. First you tell them how you're going to kill them. Then you kill them. Then you tell them how you just killed them.

Saying that you probably will...

I really enjoyed Soldiers, but lac of decent multiplayer (co-op just isn't enuff) and online game browser was what stopped me playing it.
Dawn of War is an awsome game

I'm quite positive at the rate I'm piling things on I won't have time for much gaming in the near future. Between all my homework, and Revora, there isn't much time, and I'm going to probably be doing 10-15 hours a week of development on a new project. Don't worry D, I've got lots of time in a week. There are 144 hours, and I think I've only budgeted about 60 or so so far.

yeah... I think I'll fork out some money for Dawn of War, HL2, Pariah, Quake 4, BFME, Star Wars BattleFront, and there were a few more that made me say "dammit... I'll have to pay for that when it comes out", but I don't have the money or the time for all of those games... so I think I'll just stick with what I got for now... I beat doom3 at the beginning of the month and will start playing it on nightmare when I finish farcry...

I've abandoned Doom3 for a while, as I've had little or no spare time. I just finished my calculus assignment for tomorrow, after about 6 hours of work. Thank goodness for caffeine. I'm definitely starting to see a bit of a time crunch.

It's amazing how fast those 168 hours can disappear. I also don't claim to do good math at late hours, which was what that other post was. Plus, I can leave out a bit of time for other things, can't I?

But then, since Rome: Total War is the best PC Game....
You can't choose where to invade on BFME or DoW... nor can you order assasinations, plot coups, organise rebellions... and it's better than any other strategy game ever. You can quote me on that.

Rome: Total War is definately an awesome, game, I suck at it but its the main game that I intend to play for the next few weeks... I took a break from it to play through the call of duty campaign, but now I'm back to Rome: Total war... I've played the Dawn of War demo... and it is fucking awesome. and HL2 comes out nov 16thish and halo 2 and men of valor... I'm going to buy HL2 as soon as it comes out, and get those other games w hen I get around to it...
