I dont know if this is to do with me posting from different computers. I posted this morning at home a message which I planned to update later. However, I cant edit my post from Uni even though Im logged in here.

I just made a post from Uni, when I get home i'll test if I can edit it or not.

I've attached screens showing me not being able to edit and being able to edit.

Prolly Details new editing rule. Can't edit a post after 10 mins or so. Not sure if thats it, however i'll leave it to him. He tends to complain if i change any of his pointless rules.

And pointless. But its to stop those 3vil 'bad guys from editing posts making it look like they were innocent'.

What is this? Cowboys and indians?

It's pointless. If someone edits their post to look innocent (when the heck does that happen and no one notice, anyway?), just yell at them repeatedly or something.

I removed the rule. It seems it was only for certain groups anyway, and members weren't one. I think it was rather silly and pointless as well. (even though it doesn't apply to supermoderators)

Well, when it comes to writing an expository essay about counter-insurgent tactics, I'm of the old school. First you tell them how you're going to kill them. Then you kill them. Then you tell them how you just killed them.

it's actually a good rule...yes a bit annoying for a few...

but i've been witness to people trying to edit there posts to look innocent..or to delete soem bad shit they said that would normally get them banned...

so i mean it is annoying..but shouldn't be taken off..

I don't think it was even properly implemented, so I took it out. If we want to, it's fairly easy to add, but it should be done for all member groups.

When I undid it, that was exactly who it wasn't done for. It was done for other groups, but not the members. It was very odd.

It's a silly rule. If I post things like status reports I need to edit them later on if there's an update.

Agreed.

Also when I post long-winded stuff, I kinda might see a typo or think of something I wanted to add (I do that a lot, think over stuff AFTER it's slapped down...I'm also a niggler, and that's my prerogative )

And there's been many an occasion I've only noticed there's an error after someone's replied, and by then it was too late.

Why in the hell would the rule be in place for everyone except admins and members :p That makes no sense...
