ON all exe files you run, righmout, go to settings -> compatability mode and set it to Win98SE. Should work then, if you run that exe file

Some folks need to use the win98 compatibility though. It's probably connected to the drivers for gfx/sound card for XP.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Andre 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

Too cute! | Server Status: If you can read this, it's up |Well, when it comes to writing an expository essay about counter-insurgent tactics, I'm of the old school. First you tell them how you're going to kill them. Then you kill them. Then you tell them how you just killed them.

This is a bit like the tortoise & the hare, the tortoise may be slow but at least it doesn’t keep stopping & starting every 5min

Edit: perhaps it's the DirectX driver.

I read about a XP fix for YR somewhere, perhaps from Dcoder?
Edit: perhaps it's the DirectX driver.
I'm just hosting it, it was made by Saberhawk (XRML development team).
Here's a link: http://dcoder.cannis...2_YR_Update.zip
It's not a 100% fix, but it works. It also increases the game load speed. And disables CD-check on startup, I think.
What's stopping you from migrating to Ares? We can't implement it unless you tell us!
