Nikola Tesla was a brilliant but slightly wacky scientist from Croatia actually. He invented lots of things regarding electricity, and our use of AC power in the mains is a result of his work.

My name... Well, it started off as a nickname for in the old Quake days. Immortal Man it meant, which is supposedly a fun name for a 13-year old playing Quake. Later, I found out that Uath Mac Immoman was also an ancient Irish druid. And because I'm half Irish, and am rather proud of that, I saw that as an added bonus to keep the name. Although most people just call me Immo... :)

Last summer I was trying to think of some random phrase for an away message. "Aww, it's cute, like a puppy...but without the legs." Just popped into my head... made an SN to go with it, and have recently decided to go by that name as opposed to my usual of Cyron Mikhalovich because Legless Puppydog is more personal.

Well the name Xeno came from several sources.

Originally (While playing Halo) i was called Codex but that really didn't sound very good. So then i turned the name around creating Xedoc which was still pretty crap. So then i removed the C and changed the "D" to an "N" and...

...Ta daaaa, you get Xeno. :p

The thning was that i realised that Xen was actually the name of the alien planet in Half-Life. Which i think is pretty cool, so i added an "O" for originality :huh:

One of my nicknames when I was younger was Hot Rod, because of my red hair. Because I have no imagination, I just added the year I was born(1989) to the end, and shortened the beginning.

Hmm, kind of a tricky question (and an old topic too)

Dark_Elf_2001 I got from playing an online javascript game called DragonCourt (www.ffiends.com). Those kind of things require some funky combinations of names to find a spare one, so I got that, and from there it just spanned out into my emails, and forums and such.

Dark_Elf_2001 -> Darkelf (nuff said);
Darkelf -> The Darkest Elf (nuff said again);
Darkelf -> Darkius Elfius (you can blame Chanti for this one :wub: );
Dark_Elf_2001 -> Dettao (Dark Elf Two Thousand And One :grin: );
Dettao -> Dethro (If only Jethro Tull was a dark elf....);

What a mutated evolution of names, eh?

I began with an alias called TheFive5 (fuck knows what it means.., somethin satanistic; I remember I nicked it from a horror movie... and then added my lucky number :grin:) then I joined a YR game clan called TnT, where I got my alias TnTDeMoN5, after a long time membership it came to an end, in the meantime I grew intrest in to hardcore house. and I know a short thing these gabbers usually say, H4L (=hardcore for life) and thus I adapted that to H4L_DeMoN(5), but then after that I started searching for a new nickname and came up with Hooligan.. Later mutilated to Holly-Gan (Holly, thats what mates called me :O ) but now I dont know what I'll call myself... I'm bit looked out on Hooligan and I need a new handle... any suggestions?

Lurking moar since 2004 2003!

Mig Eater...

It’s the first thing that popped into my head the first time I registered at a forum. It comes from a RAF Tornado used in the (1st) Gulf war. Named Mig Eater by it’s pilot, its claim to fame is that it flew the most missions & dropped more bombs/missiles then any other RAF (& maybe USAF) plane during the Gulf war.

Well, when it comes to writing an expository essay about counter-insurgent tactics, I'm of the old school. First you tell them how you're going to kill them. Then you kill them. Then you tell them how you just killed them.

The first time I heard the word/name Zephyr was while playing Spyro the Dragon, many many years ago (it was the name of a world/level.) I sort of adopted it because I thought it sounded cool. I didn't even know what it meant at the time.
