This only applys to XP users.

http://www.nvrt.org/ or http://www.pagehosting.co.uk/rl/
There refresh un-lockers.

When your not at the desktop (in-game) WinXP sets the refresh rate to 60, which is bad for the eyes. The refresh un-lockers can alow you to go above the shitty 60 to something more eye friendly, like 85. I'm currently using nvrt in H-L:NS and WC3.

Like all wired littel programs there are risks and warning messages saying "Use at your own risk". I wanted 100fps in H-L so i used nvrt and it worked.

If your not fussed about having 100fps in-games or your dont know what 100fps is - dont bother.

Not much of a performance change. If you can't do 60fps, which is XPs limit, there not need to have the option of 100fps.

I don't konw how I missed this thread so many months ago... nearly a year. Anyway, I am downnloadint NVRT now (their site was suppose to close but its still up) and hopefully I'll be able to just up the refresh quite a bit, I always wondered why fraps would never go over 60 on my games when I would see benchmarks in the 100s for some of these games on about my systems specs.

If you have the latest G-Force drivers it has a refresh tool built in.
