I prefer<?php include ("file.php"); ?>
Thats all you need.
<?php switch ($page) { case "": case "index": include "welcome.txt"; break; default: include $page.".txt"; break; } ?>

Too cute! | Server Status: If you can read this, it's up |Well, when it comes to writing an expository essay about counter-insurgent tactics, I'm of the old school. First you tell them how you're going to kill them. Then you kill them. Then you tell them how you just killed them.

PHP only helps with news scripts or POTD scripts. It's not going to make your site good.
To make a good site you need to know about HTML tables and how images fit in them to make a good layout.
The Front Page and GenDev both have 3 lines of PHP, the rest is the HTML layout.

I'm planning to steal the GenDev PHP to use for the C&C Kings site, when I find time to work on that again.
Anyways, I'd like to see some java tuts. I always wanted to try that.
