Very nicely done. Seems to be a bit dark, but that might just be me, or the scan.

Well, when it comes to writing an expository essay about counter-insurgent tactics, I'm of the old school. First you tell them how you're going to kill them. Then you kill them. Then you tell them how you just killed them.

Too cute! | Server Status: If you can read this, it's up |

Amidst the chaos of war, an officer calls for armour support. Fighting in urban environments does not make the tank useless, in fact it becomes an important asset to the commander. They can traverse or remove obstacles, act as transports, and also provide great firepower which planes or soldiers cannot.

As the Nemesis pushes into Genesis territory, the battles become increasingly intense and victory becomes a vital motivation for the troops' morale. The Genesis have made strongholds of small towns and old cities, and often times these establishments have to be bombarded and even completely destroyed before any attempt can be made to take over them. Still sometimes soldiers have to be the first to trudge into the battlefield, when the cunning enemy is entrenched too deeply for artillery to have any effect, the battle quickly degrades into a tedious street to street, house to house, and room to room clearing operation. Both soldier and tank are equally vulnerable in the urban environment, thus they have to work hand in hand to ensure their survival, as infantry provide reconnaissance and take out enemy anti-tank capabilities, armoured vehicles provide the firepower and protection for the men.

P.S. sorry for the bad quality of the picture, and the not-so-good accompanying information, couldn't think of better stuff to write.

If you get one inside it can take out the crew but it's not gonna go throught the armour.

If you get a grenade in the tracks you can crippel it's movement. After that it's just a matter of time.

So you have to have great aim or huge amounts of luck to take a tank out with a 'nade.

On the picture:
I like the way that nothing has a real outline. The edges are made by having light parts against dark parts rather than a pencil line between two objects, makes it look a lot better.

I can't even see the tank.. :/

I see the rubble... I think of it as more 'suspense'. As in, the title is Requesting Anti Tank Support...and you see a lot of rubble around...so you know the tank's there. So you're expecting it to come steamrolling over your poor Nemesis soldiers as they hole up behind that wall there.

Or is it just my mind making movies of its own?

Still, awesome work, if I didn't already say it was when I saw this back on the AR2 Forums :p

(Yeah so this is an old topic. Sue me.)

You could kill a tank with a grenade if you walked up to it, popped the hatch, and threw a nade in, but otherwise, even a mass amount of grenades wouldn't throw out the tracks. That's why the shoulder launched recoilless rocket anti-tank was created.
